The floor
Casino Ajax has 500 slot machines and electronic table games. The operator lists no live table games there. With no live tables, there is no table minimum, and this guide shows no amount for Ajax. The other four venue pages cover the casinos with live tables.
The doors are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Holiday hours should be checked on the venue's own site. One rule applies here as at every casino on this site: the minimum bet is not a budget. The budget is set before leaving home. A machine floor with no table minimum changes nothing about that.
Where it sits
Casino Ajax sits at Ajax Downs, a quarter-horse racetrack. The slots opened there in 2006 as OLG Slots at Ajax Downs. In 2018 the name changed to Casino Ajax. Now the operator lists slot machines and electronic table games on the site, and no live tables.
Readers from Campbellville will recognise the pattern. Mohawk was also a racetrack slots site, OLG Slots at Mohawk Racetrack, and became Elements Casino Mohawk on May 1, 2018. The racing differs: Ajax Downs runs quarter horses, while Woodbine Mohawk Park races standardbreds.
Visiting Casino Ajax
Casino Ajax is at 50 Alexander's Crossing, Ajax, Ontario L1Z 2E6. The toll-free number is 1-866-445-3939. Parking is free, in an outdoor lot on site. From Elements Casino Mohawk the straight-line distance is 90.1 km, measured between the two casinos' coordinates, not a driving distance.
Anyone under 19 is refused entry, and anyone who looks under 30 is asked for ID. Great Canadian Rewards works here. Reward Points are earned on slots and electronic table games, and Comp Dollars on both as well. Points are not a budget either: the budget is set before leaving home.
